Acquisitions
Real Property assists university units throughout the acquisition process.
OSU departments with a need to acquire real estate to support OSU research, programs, and partnerships should contact our office.
Dispositions
As stewards of all OSU’s real property assets, our office can assist units managing property that is surplus to their needs.
Real Property will assist with the process of verifying that real property is surplus to the strategic needs of all university units, and will then aid in the process of selling or transferring the property.
Leases
Leases of real property allow for flexible and financially responsible pursuit of OSU's strategic objectives and ability to be a university focused on big discoveries that drive big solutions with a 'campus' that covers the entire state.
As OSU’s lease administrators, we manage the various aspects of lease agreements throughout their lifecycle in order to sustainably provide a platform for OSU's teaching, research, and outreach mission across the state. This includes ensuring compliance with lease terms, monitoring critical dates (e.g., renewal, expiration), and maintaining accurate lease records.
At any given time, Real Property actively manages over 260 leases across the state of Oregon and beyond.

Easements
Our team manages easement and encumbrance information for OSU, both easements for outside entities to access OSU property and easements granted to OSU.
To inquire about easements on a particular property or to inquire about the parameters of an easement, please contact us.
Temporary Research Rentals
Real Property supports the university's mission and commitment to research through partnership with departments as they arrange temporary housing for OSU researchers.
Departments may request a template for a Temporary Research Rental (TRR) agreement. Please communicate early and often with our department to work through this multi-step process supporting critical OSU field research.
